Description

This coffee was produced by dynamic sister team, Hirut Birhanu and Mahder Birhanu. They call their village, Dumerso, located in Yirgacheffe, Ethiopia where their family has worked in coffee for over 20 years. It's important to note, the immense adversity this family has had to overcome in order to produce great coffee. In 2017, their washing station (where they process their coffee) was destroyed and looted. The family lost a lot of money but pressed on and rebuilt their washing station. In the same season, frost, not seen in 50 years decimated their harvest. (Can you imagine?!)

In spite of these challenges, the family has continued to forge ahead with a goal of building back better and focusing even more on specialty coffee and fine tuning their process controls.

What To Expect from This Coffee

This coffee is pretty impressive. You'll notice a honey like sweetness, mixed with florals and a pink lemonade fruitiness. I'd recommend this coffee for pourover, or aeropress in order to get the most value out of it.
