About
Our first coffee from Honduras! Back in late summer, we connected with Andros from Cima Coffee in search of some great Honduran coffee. He kindly sent us some samples from the recent harvest for us to begin our selection. On the day when we were planning to cup the samples, my brother, Tray, was in town. Tray has been the brains behind the design and branding for Nostalgica, but he is an underground coffee madman as well. It's always fun to get other perspectives when selecting coffee, so of course we had him join us. After a few passes through the coffees he said “buy this one”. Sometimes, you just have to listen to the experts. We bought it. We love it. And serendipitously, he just moved here just as this coffee is being released. Cheers to Tray.
Oh yes, about the coffee. This coffee is fun to drink! It has intense cherry notes with some underlying complexity. Due to the fermentation, naturals can have some funky notes. We do not love the funk around here so as always, this is a pretty funk-free natural. Obviously this coffee will perform well as a pour over or drip coffee but it also gets the stamp of approval for espresso. Enjoy!
